To uninstall uTorrent browser bar, please look at the top right side just near your address browser, you'll find a small "u" (uTorrent) icon. Right click it and choose "uninstall" from the list.
I installed Utorrent client for Windows. As part of the installation, Utorrent installed the utorrent toolbar in the Google Chrome browser.
I was perplexed because the toolbar use to overlay over the page (which is usually not the case with toolbars) and therefore I was missing the login link which is typically there are the top right of the login page.
I decided to uninstall the utorrent toolbar and I started searching for the way to uninstall the toolbar. I looked at the setting and other menus and could not find the option. I was frustrated.
Google rescued me (as my super heroes in the Marvel comics!) and I found the answer in the Yahoo questions and answers website. All I needed to do was uninstall the utorrent extension. An average user will not be able to uninstall the toolbar because he or she would not be able to find the option which makes me angry.
I'm sick and tired of the Freewares that try to dupe you to install additional software which is 'extra and useful' while you are installing the freeware. This is cheating and the software developers seem to get away with it. Therefore I have thought about highlighting this issue via my blog whenever it happens.
If you have had similar experience please share it and I would also like to hear what the readers have to say about this?
